MIEHEMME HIIDELLÄ
- OUR MEN AT HIISI
Hiisi is a sacred cult and sacrifice location of the Baltic-Finnish people, a sacred grove. Our Men at Hiisi is a playful stage performance of an actor and a musician, a shared dream of an age-old celebration. It is a tapestry of love, desires, hopes, fears and memories - like life itself: real but mythical.
The texts of the performance are among others from Nils-Aslak Valkeapää, Ari-Pekka Lahti, Henrik Ibsen as well as the folklore we inherited from our forefathers and -mothers.
